Police SC continued their winning streak as they recorded their fifth successive win by defeating Ace Capital CC by six wickets in their match played at Police Park to maintain their unbeaten record in the ongoing Major Club limited overs tournament.
Police SC after bowling out their opponents for a score of 211 runs was helped by a knock of 73 by Dhanuja Induwaea who was supported by Jason Fernando who whipped in with 45 for them to reach the target in the 46th over.
Meanwhile Moors SC ended their league campaign on a winning note with a three wicket win over BRC in the match played at the BRC ground to post their fifth win while CCC overcame Bloomfield C&AC by 134 runs and NCC got the better of Badureliya SC by 106 runs with both teams recording their fourth win of the tournament.
Nishan Madushka cracked a 145 ball knock of 174 that included 14 boundaries and six sixes for CCC while Ahan Wickramasinghe hit 114 with 14 boundaries and two sixes for NCC. Panadura SC and Kurunegala YCC recorded wins against Chilaw Marians CC and Nugegoda S&WC in two other matches played at Panadura and Kurunegala.
