Ladies and Bishop’s win one lose one

The 19th edition of the hockey encounters between Ladies College and Bishop’s College took place on October 4 at the Colombo Astro Turf and the former beat the latter 2-1 in the Under 17 match and lost the Under-19 game.

After a scoreless first half, Nulandi Kariyawasam and Yunili Ahangama scored for Ladies College while the solitary goal for Bishop’s College was scored by Danara Jayawardena.

In the under 19 match that followed, Bishop’s College through a goal scored by Maika Tennakoon  in the second half, pulled off a hard fought 1-0 over Ladies College. (BM)
