Kandy’s budding rugby players come out to play at Academy tourney

The Kandy Rugby Academy conducted its annual rugby tournament which took place at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium last weekend with the players showing plenty of promise for the future according to officials/

As many as 15 teams with budding players took part in the annual event that showcases the potential found in the region.

Kandy Rugby Academy is coached by Dharshana Etipola who is the head coach with the support of Updenra Gonawela, Sathsara Basnayake, Ishan Inoon, Udara Dias, Saumya Wijesiri, Pradeepan Ramdas, Madumali and Sandali.

Retired Sri Lanka player Nigel Ratwatte is the coordinator of the Kandy Rugby Academy.
