Top-class golf talent and determination have earned stars Jevahn Sathasivam and Reshan Algama invitations to attend the prestigious Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) Academy at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. The Academy, which started on January 25, will be conducted until January 31—a significant opportunity for these young athletes to sharpen their skills and prepare for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (AAC), scheduled at the same venue in October 2025.

Jevahn proudly boasts a WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) of 536, while his compatriot Reshan follows with a WAGR score of 726. Their invitations are not merely accolades; they represent a commitment from the APGC to nurture young talent in the region by extending opportunities.

The APGC has undertaken to cover all expenses associated with the Academy, including flights, accommodation, transfers, meals, and training.

The selection of Jevahn and Reshan reinforces a message of ambition and perseverance. Their journeys serve as motivation for other junior golfers in Sri Lanka to aim high and strive for excellence, as opportunities like the AAC Academy are within reach for those dedicated to their craft.
