The prestigious PIN Fernando and PAM Fernando Trophy golf encounters took place at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) that celebrated the spirit of competitive amateur golf drawing a wide range of participants across multiple age and handicap divisions. 

The tournament, named in honour of the legendary Sri Lankan golfer Pin Fernando, proved to be a fitting stage for both emerging talents and seasoned players to shine. Veteran golfer Jayalath Perera won the PIN Fernando trophy while in the Ladies event Anouk Chitty won the PAM Fernando trophy.

In the Senior Ladies segment, Niranjali Amarasooriya showed her consistency and composure to finish with a. Nett score of 78 clinching the title. Ladies (0 to 36) nett division was won by Anouk Chitty with a nett score of 71 pushing Rushani Sanagani to runner-up position with a nett score of 72. 

Ladies gross segment made long-hitting Jade Jiggens display remarkable power and accuracy to win with a gross score of 89 while Anouk Chitty capped off a great tournament, finishing as runner-up with a gross 78.

The Junior division produced some excellent golf from the younger generation. Thejas Rathish Kanth won the top position with a 77 nett score (B/B 9) narrowly ahead of Vinuda Weerasinghe who finished with a nett score of 72.

In the Masters Division ADS Gunasekera posted a solid 75 nett while AV Rajendran produced the best score of the division with 68 nett earning the winner’s title. The Senior segment was fiercely contested as S Vethavinayakam scored 79 nett (B/B 9) but it was SE Captain who emerged victorious with a superb 79.

In the other Division C it was CA Seneviratne with a 65 nett and E Abeyratne as runner-up on 69 nett, In the Division B, Shirley Corea clinched the top spot on count-back with 69 nett (B/B 9) edging out Jayalath Perera.

In Division A Harsha Abeywickrama returned a 70 nett but Heshan Siribaddana 74 nett sealed the win.
