ITF Junior Circuit J30 Week 2 Dinara storms into final

Sri Lanka’s Dinara de Silva continued her winning form when she stormed into the final of the ITF Junior Circuit J30 Week 2 tennis tournament at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo with an easy win over of Savitha Bhuvaneswara of India. Earlier Dinara got the better of Haru Ishida Japan in the quarter-final encounter also by two sets to nil.  

In the boys’ category, two players from India Mahit Mekala and Pratyush Loganathan and two from China Chuang Ding and Ziao Qian made it to the semis with easy wins.

Girls (Quarter Finals) – Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Haru Ishida (Japan) 2-0 (6/2, 6/0), Savitha Bhuvaneswara (India) beat Adiitipa Turi (USA) 2-0 (6/2, 6/0), Yoshino Kameda (Japan) beat Arzan Khorakiwala (India) 2-0 (6/1, 7/6), Aleena Farid (India) beat Aouna Akaba (Japan) 2-0 (6/4, 6/3), (Semi Final) Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Savitha Bhuvaneswara (India) 2-0 (7/5, 6/3).
