ITF Junior Circuit J30 Week 1 Japan’s Sakino is singles champion

Sakino Miyazawa of Japan emerged as the girls’ singles champion of the ITF Junior Circuit J30 Week 1 tennis tournament when she recorded a comfortable two sets to nil win over Sri Lanka’s Dinara de Silva in the final played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.
The two players were evenly matched and much was expected from Dinara but Sakino proved to be too good. Dinara most probably would not be taking part in the Week 2 tournament which is scheduled to be played from this week as she will be sitting for the GCE O-Level examination.
