Sri Lanka’s Annaya Norbert and Sahansa Damsiluni clinched the Girls’ Doubles title at the ITF Asia Under-14 South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia Development Week 2 Tennis Championship, which continued at the SLTA Courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.
Annaya partnered by Sahansa came out on top in the Doubles final with the pair overcoming the Philippines pair of Paglauna Ella and Torrcampo Marisstela 2-1.
Earlier, Annaya came out victorious in the Singles when she defeated Sohail Hajira of Pakistan 2-0. But Sri Lanka’s Sahansa Damsiluni bowed out of contention as she lost to Gurung Shivali of Nepal in the other semi-final 2-0.
Meanwhile, in the Boys’ Singles semi-final Castigador Anthony of the Philippine and Pak Nicholas Ming of Singapore made it to the final with wins against Muhammad Shayan of Pakistan and Gayen Khabbo of Bangladesh.
The finals are scheduled to be played today at the same venue.

Girls’ Singles semi-finals: Annaya Norbert (Sri Lanka) beat Sohail Hajira (Pakistan) 6-1, 6-0. Gurung Shivali (Nepal) beat Sahansa Damsiluni (Sri Lanka) 6-2, 6-0.
Boys’ Singles semi-finals: Castigador Anthony (Philippines) beat Muhammad Shayan (Pakistan) 7-5, 6-2. Pak Nicholas Ming (Singapore) beat Gayen Khabbo (Bangladesh) 6-2, 6-2.
Girls’ Doubles final: Annaya Norbert/Sahansa Damsiluni (Sri Lanka) beat Paglauna Ella/Torrcampo Marisstela (Philippines) 2-6, 6-4, 10-5.
