Hameed Al Husseinie in historic swimming feat

Hameed Al Husseinie College made a fine impact at the recent Sri Lanka Schools All Island Age Group Novices Swimming championship with one of their students MSM Raaid winning a silver medal in the 50m backstroke and another student of the school MSM Raashid reached the qualifying standard time in both the 50m backstroke and the 200m individual medley.

The championship was held at the Sugathadasa stadium pool in Colombo from May 21 to 24.

According to the school, the achievements marked the dawn of a new era for swimming Hameed Al Husseinie on the national stage.

Raaid also reached the qualifying standard time in the 50m Freestyle.

MHM Hamdhan, NSM Raahik, AH Huzaifah, MHM Humaith, F. Mahdhi and MRM Raheesh were the other swimmers who represented the school at the event.
