HSBC golf next week

HSBC will host its annual Premier Golf tournament for the 12th time at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) from October 17 to 18 exclusively for the HSBC Premier golfers. 

The tournament is open to all HSBC Premier customers with a valid handicap.

The exclusive tournament will bring together over 150 golfers, competing for the prestigious HSBC Premier Challenge Trophy and make way for a once in a lifetime opportunity to the Open. 

The overall winner will get to experience the 154th Open at Royal Birkdale in England from July 16-19, 2026, with a fully sponsored hospitality package covering 3/N and 4/D with a chance to experience the rich traditions of one of golf’s most iconic and oldest events.

The two-day tournament will feature an exclusive pre-tournament challenge - ‘Putting Parade under the stars’ on the 18th Tee on October 17. In keeping with tradition, the tournament will also offer a Hole In One prize (9th Hole) of Rs 1 million Premier Rewards Points, courtesy of Mastercard.

HSBC Premier is also teeing up special savings on helicopter rides in partnership with Celeste Escape, to make the experience more memorable. Customers can enjoy helicopter rides with their families to the tournament from Ratmalana as well as enjoy an aerial view of little England in the sky. 

They can also avail of a range of special excursions, organised in collaboration with the Grand Hotel, at a nominal fee. Options include exploring the Victoria Park, visiting the famous Franciscan Jam Shop and cycling through Nuwara Eliya.
