HNB retain Mercantile Hockey Sevens

Defending champion Hatton National Bank (HNB) won the 46th Mercantile Hockey Sevens 2024 ‘A’ Division championship title.

The tournament, organised by the Mercantile Hockey Association, was held at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo.

In the ‘A’ Division final, HNB edged out Commercial Bank 1-0 with Damith Madushanka scoring the match-winning goal.

In fact, Madushanka was also named as the Best Player of the Tournament, while Kaweesha Fernando, also from the HNB, was named as the Best Goalkeeper.
