First innings win for Trinity

Trinity College completed a first-innings win over Wesley College in their Inter School Under 19 cricket encounter which concluded at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. 
This encounter was played for the Richie Kannangara trophy which has remained in Kandy for the last eight years.  


Meanwhile, St. Anthony’s College Katugastota completed comfortable innings and 25-run win over Dharmaraja College in their Inter School Under 19 cricket encounter which concluded at Katugastota yesterday. 


The highlight of the game was a fine ton by Antonian player Kavindu Shehan who stroked 15 boundaries and two huge sixes in his hurricane knock which rocked Katugastota. Both Trevin Mathews and Thisara Ekanayake both took five wickets a piece.


This was the Antonians third win in a row earlier getting the better of Wesley College and Ananda College.
