FSL suspends six players from Uva

Football Sri Lanka (FSL) has taken disciplinary action against six Uva players following incidents which took place in the Independence Trophy Football tournament match against Central on February 2.   

A total of ten players (four from Central and six from Uva) are set to face two-match suspensions following the altercations which took place during their encounter at Leelaratne Stadium in Kantalai. 

 
The six Uva province players suspended by the Disciplinary Committee of FSL are Firaz Zaheer, M.A.M. Afran, Kavindu Ravihansa, Eranda Nandana, H.M.K. Chethana and Ishantha Dilhan, according to FSL Secretary Upali Hewage.
