FFSL Super League 2025/26 to Begin in June with 10 Teams

The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) has decided to conduct the FFSL Super League Football Tournament 2025/26 from June 8 to November 12.

The country’s premier club football competition will feature 10 leading teams: Blue Eagles SC, Blue Star SC, Defenders FC, New Youngs FC, Red Star FC, Sea Hawks SC, Upcountry Lions FC, Colombo FC, Renown FC and Ratnam SC.

Meanwhile, the FFSL also announced the current status of the club licensing process for all applicant clubs participating in the upcoming season.

According to the federation, all applicant clubs will undergo final entry-control reviews in the coming days, and licenses to participate in the tournament will only be granted to clubs that successfully fulfil all required criteria.

Among the participating teams, Colombo FC, Renown SC and Ratnam SC are reportedly yet to fully satisfy the required licensing standards. The FFSL has warned that these clubs could face removal from the tournament if they fail to meet the necessary criteria before the deadline.
