The Eagles’ Monsoon Cup Golf Tournament 2025 is set to return as a premier fixture on Sri Lanka’s golfing calendar, with the event to tee off on 11 January 2026 at the scenic Eagles’ Golf Links, China Bay, overlooking the Trincomalee Harbour.
Organised by the Eagles’ Golf Links and Courses, the tournament continues to enhance its reputation as a high-quality competitive event played on one of the country’s most distinctive courses.
The tournament receives strong backing from Aviyana Ceylon Hotel Group, the main sponsor, whose continued support props up the growing synergy between sport and tourism promotion. The sponsorship was formally marked with a cheque presentation by Group Chairman Dr. Thisara Hewawasam to Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, at Air Force Headquarters, reinforcing institutional support for the tournament.
The Monsoon Cup has been significant, with over 100 golfers already confirming participation. The field is expected to feature leading local amateurs, international golfers, and strong representation from the tri-services, who will compete for the prestigious Eagles’ Monsoon Defence Challenge Cup.
The tournament will conclude with the trophy awarding ceremony on 11 January held under the patronage of the Air Force Commander.
