Colombo undergrads no pushovers in rugby

Colombo University claimed the rugby championship title at the 15th Sri Lanka Inter-University Sports Games 2025, defeating Sri Jayawardenepura University 33–15 in the final held at the Nittawela Rugby Ground, Kandy.  The tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka University Sports Association (SLUSA), featured 14 university teams from across the country with Rajarata University serving as the host.  In the semifinals, Colombo University overcame Kelaniya University 34–29 while Sri Jayawardenepura University beat Sabaragamuwa University 39–0 to secure their place in the final. 

In the third-place playoff, Kelaniya University triumphed over Sabaragamuwa University 29–05, leaving Sabaragamuwa University in fourth place.
