A felicitation ceremony was held by the Ceylon Boxing Federation to honour Sri Lanka’s veteran boxing legends for their enduring contributions.
The event paid tribute to several former champion boxers while promoting continued development of boxing in Sri Lanka.
Addressing the event, the chief guest Patricia Lázara Pego Guerra, Ambassador of Cuba, commended the Ceylon Boxing Federation for acknowledging former boxers while encouraging the future growth of boxing in Sri Lanka.
Indian professional boxer Vinod Kalarickal Sukumaran, who attended the event as guest of honour, also praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of regional collaboration in nurturing emerging talent.
