Ashlin, Mayooran move to second round

Sri Lanka’s Ashlin de Silva and Mayooran Khubherane advanced to the second round of the ITF Junior Circuit Week 3 tennis tournament when they came out on top in the first round matches played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.

Ashlin recorded a comfortable two sets to nil win over Guo Jiaming of China while Mayooran underwent some anxious moments before brushing off the challenge of Abhivady Misra of India by two sets to one.

The seven day Week 3 tournament which got underway is scheduled to end on February 15.
