Army SC dominate 39th National Rowing Meet

Army SC won the Men’s and Women’s overall title at the 39th Senior/Intermediate/Junior National Rowing Championships, held at the Diyawanna Rowing Centre in Batttaramulla.  
The Intermediate category was secured by the Navy SC while the junior Boys’ overall championship was won by the Asian International School (AIS) and Ladies’ College, Colombo took the Girls’ overall championship.  
21 teams and more than 350 athletes including athletes from the tri-forces, three universities, two clubs and 16 schools participated in this tournament.  
Meanwhile, the Best Rower Award for junior Boys’ was won by Shaylon Gunarathne of the AIS for the second year and the Best Rower Award for junior Girls’ was won by Havishka Perera of the British School in Colombo.
