Algama beaten by Norton

The Royal Colombo Golf Club, Club Championship quarter-finals delivered thrilling action yesterday with four standout performances setting the stage for two exciting semi-final clashes

Jacob Norton shocked the much fancied Reshan Algama in a tightly contested match, winning 1-up.

Yannik Kumara made a strong run, defeating Venuda Weerasinghe with a solid 2/1 to finish, proving his consistency under pressure.

In another dominant performance Kumar Danushan was in top form, comfortably beating Husni Uwise 4/1 while Sachin de Silva produced a powerful game to overcome Kaiyan Johnpillai with a 4/3  victory.

With the semi-finals now set, Jacob Norton will face Yannik Kumara in what promises to be a high-quality showdown while Sachin de Silva takes on Kumar Danushan.
