Airmen look to bounce back against Sri Lions

Air Force Sports Club will be determined to make a comeback when they lock horns with seventh placed Sri Lions Sports Club in their Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament fixture at Ratmalana on February 1. 

Air Force SC will need a win to maintain their top four position for the Super Round as only the number four position is been fought out between the Airmen, CH and FC and Army SC. 

Air Force SC will be all out to improve their points and maintain their number four position. At present they have accumulated 17 points from their six games while Sri Lions SC are placed seventh with 11 points. 

Dharshana Dabare, Gayantha Iddamalgoda are their two main players. They will be aiming for a comeback win after losing out to Kandy SC in their last outing.

Meanwhile, Chanaka Chandimal is expected to lead the Sri Lions SC as Kevin Dixon is still nursing with an injury. Sri Lions SC have done really well in their debut ‘A’ Division season and knocked-off the highly ranked CH and FC and Navy SC. 

They will be keen to maintain their top eight position in an attempt to qualify for the Clifford Cup Knock-Out Tournament, which will be worked off in March.
