Air Force win Weightlifting Nationals Novices Senior Championship

Sri Lanka Air Force won the Weightlifting Nationals Novices Senior Championship at the National Sports Complex indoor stadium, Polonnaruwa. The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Weightlifting Federation.
The University of Colombo finished second, while Army ended third.
K.D.A.S. Karunaratne of the Sri Lanka Air Force won the Best Weightlifter award for his performance in the under 61kg category.
More than 100 athletes participated in the tournament.      (SP)
