Asia Rugby Emirates U20s Sevens 2025 will take place in Rajgir, Bihar, in India on August 9-10, marking a significant milestone in the growth of youth rugby across South Asia. This will be the first time in history that Bihar will be hosting an international rugby event.
A total of 16 teams (eight men’s and eight women’s) will compete over two days in a round-robin format, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the Cup semi-finals. The remaining teams will compete for the Plate, ensuring competitive rugby throughout the tournament.
The tournament will feature men’s and women’s teams from China, Hong Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan, with Malaysia competing in the men’s competition only and Nepal in the women’s tournament.
The Sri Lanka outfit, led by Shaahid Zumri and coached by Shamli Nawas, will leave the island on August 7.
