AF wins Defence Services soccer title

The 13th Defence Services Soccer Tournament concluded at the Navy Stadium in Welisara. In a historic achievement, the Air Force Women’s Soccer Team secured the Championship for the first time, having played for 15 years from the initiation, in 2010.
In the final, Air Force Women delivered a commanding performance against the Navy and secured the Championship with a goal.
The awards ceremony was graced by the Commander Volunteer Navy, Rear Admiral H. N. S. Perera as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by many officials representing the tri- forces.
