111th National Tennis Championship Sahansa and Damsath bag their second National title

Sahansa Damsiluni and Damsath Peiris who earlier won the  Under 14 girls and boys singles titles succeeded in bagging their second title at the 111th National Tennis Championship by ending as winners in the Under 14 doubles events in the two finals played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.

In the girls category Sahansa partnered by Eliza Kahagalla overcame the pair of Taalia Silva and Jennifer Mercy by two sets to nil while in the boys category Damsath partnered by Yudheera Atapattu got the better of  Parvesh Sivapalan and Jayan Sebastian in a match that went to the wire by two sets to nil.

Meanwhile in the Under 12 boys event final which was played concurrently the pair of Zacharia Akbar and Yonal Dannkumbura defeated Kashya Seneviratne and Satheesh Appathurai by two sets to nil to clinch the title.

The matches will be continued today.
