111th National Tennis Championship: Methvan bags his second title

Methvan Wijemanne, having clinched the Boys’ Under-18 singles title, succeeded in bagging his second title of the ongoing 111th National Tennis Championship when he secured the Boys’ Under-18 doubles title.
Partnered by Saha Kapilasena, the pair recorded a comfortable two-sets-to-nil win over Sandas Usgodaarachchi and Lithum Jayabandu in the final played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.
Meanwhile, in the Girls’ Under-18 doubles event, which was played concurrently, the two pairs Rehansa Ranasinghe and Sayuri Muthuthanthri, along with Samaira Fernando and Savinma Amarasinghe, came out victorious in the semi-final encounters to book the berths to the final.
