They demand that he be sacked!

There is a strident call that a governing one of a province not far from Colombo who promised to herald a spring for the area on his appointment, be immediately removed, they say.

Diyawanna politicos hailing from the area as well as the heads of the local bodies have joined forces to urge the top government authorities that this governing one, a onetime war hero, be sacked saying that he is not extending his support and co-operation either to solve urgent problems of the people or implement the development projects in the province.

In fact, the heads of local bodies in the province had handed a petition to Number One and also had explained to the latter verbally that many problems that the people in their respective areas remained unsolved due to the non-co-operative attitude of the governing one!

Meanwhile, these heads of local bodies are now set to hold a massive protest with the active participation of the people, calling for the removal of the governing one, they say.
