Personal aide gets a beating for nothing!

A Diyawanna politico from the upcountry had while being under the influence of liquor reportedly severely beaten up a close aide of his. 

Having misunderstood a briefing given to him about an organized  public ceremony due to his drunken state, this politico, an authority at state level, had mercilessly hammered the aide.

This politico who usually goes to bed late in the night after being well soaked and would wake up after noon had later apologized to the aide whom he had beaten up, they say. 

“ Sorry, Malli! I misunderstood you, “ he had told the boy who continues to work under him.
