This prominent government politico had recently purchased a mansion in a city suburb from a wealthy fishery businessman for a whopping Rs. 270 million. 

He is said to be a beneficiary of a regular flow of money from an Arab country.

The politico’s other major source of income is said to be commissions he collects from contractors supplying a certain material to an undertaking that comes under the purview of his Ministry. 

He had bought the posh residence in the name of his sibling, they say.
