A call that drew frowns!

The Telephone Chief had recently said in public in an obvious message to government high-ups: “ Hand over the government to us! We know the art of governance!”  

This call had come under fire from several government  sections. 

Meanwhile, it had drawn critical comments from some Telephone party members themselves. These party members who had taken exception to the party chief’s call had told the party seniors: “ When bold declarations like this are made in the absence of a vision or a program of our own to develop the economy, we get stumped when people raise many questions!”

However, even the party chief  too had later accepted the position that he should not have made the aforesaid call, they say.
