WP goes high-tech in registering birth /death certificates from Gampaha

Issuance of birth and death certificates via computer technology commenced recently in Gampaha for the first time in the Western Province under the patronage of Registrar General W. M. M. B. Weerasekara at the District General Hospital Gampaha.

The Birth and Death Registrar of the Gampaha District Hospital Dr. M.A.A.K. Amarasinghe is seen presenting a computer generated birth certificate to Registrar General W. M. M. B. Weerasekara.   

Presently Galle and Kurunegala Districts issue computer generated certificates.
