Sudewa Hettiarachchi appointed as Director-General of President’s Media Division

Veteran journalist Sudewa Hettiarachchi was appointed as the Director-General of the President’s Media Division yesterday.  

The letter of appointment was handed over by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and scheduled to take office next week.  

Mr Hettiarachchi was a distinguished alumnus of Ananda College, Colombo.  He is an experienced and popular announcer and producer for over 25 years.  He served as an Assistant Manager, Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Director and CEO of several leading media companies.  

Before he was appointed as Presidential Media Director-General, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Swarnavahini Media Network.
