The 12th edition of the Sri Lanka–India Naval Exercise (SLINEX-25) concluded successfully on August 18 in the western seas off Colombo, further strengthening cooperation and interoperability between the two navies.
The exercise, held annually, underscores the shared commitment of Sri Lanka and India to ensuring maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region.
Sri Lanka was represented by the Offshore Patrol Vessels SLNS Vijayabahu and SLNS Sayura, with air support from a Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 412 helicopter. The Indian Navy deployed the tanker-class INS Jyoti and the destroyer-class INS Rana for the exercise.
