SJB Pradeshiya Sabha member selling ganja remanded

A member of Kandaketiya Pradeshiya Sabha (SJB) was arrested last morning by Galauda Police on suspicion of engaging in the contraband trade of selling ganja.   
The suspect is the care taker of Hapathgamuwa electric fence as well.   
Police said the 29-year-old suspect had in his possession 86 grams of ganja in 40 packets at the time of arrest. A senior police official said they carried out the raid on a tip off from the public and arrested the suspect at Dickkumbura area.   
He was produced before Badulla Magistrate Uditha Sampatha Gunatileka and remanded till December 01.   
A police team under OIC Galauda Police IP H.M.Kumarasinghe conducted investigations on the instructions of ASP Wehitha Deshapriya and SSP Jagath Rohana.
