Services at the Coroner’s office at the Colombo National Hospital have been moved outside the building due to a roof collapse last week.

According to Additional Colombo City Coroner Attorney-at-Law Iresha Deshani Samaraweera, activities such as recording statements and other investigation-related tasks are now carried out outside the main building.

The Coroner, a government or judicial official, is responsible for conducting inquests to determine the cause or manner of death. Despite the disruption, efforts are being made to continue essential services without interruption.
