The medical fraternity has called on the Public Service Commission (PSC) to rescind its decision to reinstate a senior medical officer who, despite being recently cleared in court cases, remains under investigation over an alleged financial fraud. According to sources, the officer is set to face interviews next week for Deputy Director General (DDG) positions at the Health Ministry, a move they claim violates legal provisions, as the officer is still facing a series of financial misconduct allegations.
PSC sources confirmed that investigations into the alleged fraud are ongoing. As such, medical professionals insist that until the inquiry is concluded, the officer should not be considered eligible for high-ranking appointments. They urged the PSC to immediately revoke the reinstatement order and ensure an independent and impartial investigation into the allegations.
