Munidasa Kumaratunga commemoration today

The awarding of scholarships to children who excelled at the GCE Ordinary level examination will take place today to mark the 138th birth anniversary of Munidasa Kumaratunga Sri Lankas famed poet, linguist, commentator, grammarian, journalist, and writer.
The ceremony will be held at 3pm at the  Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute today.   
The Most Venerable Trikunamaley Ananda Maha Thera will be the chief guest of the event. The Secretary to the Ministry of Education Nalaka Kaluwewa and Professor P.A. Silva will also grace the occasion.
