The daughter of a minister who is engaged in higher studies in the UK is currently lodging in a house belonging to a member of the Tamil diaspora, Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake alleged in Parliament yesterday.

“We don’t blame ministers for associating with diaspora members but those in the government should mention that they are associating with them while associating with others. We have to reveal this information though we don’t want to disturb the victory day celebration,” the MP said.    The MP came up with a number of allegations based on various issues and thereby said a certain official attached to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) is playing the role of an executor. He was referring to the recent death of Ex SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena. “There is a song called ‘Maralada Elluwe Ellalada Maruwe (Was he killed before he was killed or whether he was actually hanged). However, this official attached to CIABOC seemed to be engaged in executing people,” he said.

He said those who are currently occupying a bungalow in Malwanne should be told to go and takeover railway houses of Peradeniya which are abandoned

Also, the MP said 50 percent of the buses belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board will stop plying soon as there are no tyres to be replaced.

Furthermore, the MP questioned as to who is behind felling of trees at the Golf Course in Nuwara Eliya.
