Man arrested with Kush valued Rs.75Mn at BIA

A consignment of 7.5 kilos of Kush smuggled into the country by an air passenger was seized last morning by officials of the Anti-Narcotic Bureau and the Katunayake Airport Customs when the passenger attempted to pass through the Green Channel. 

The 41-year-old suspect was a resident of Dematagoda who returned last morning after a visit to Bangkok in Thailand. 

Under interrogation, he revealed that the market value of the stock of Kush was more than Rs.75 million. 
The suspect and the stock of contraband were handed over to the Police Anti-Narcotic Bureau for further action.
