Lohan Ratwatte passes away

Kandy District former Parliamentarian and former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte, 57, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Colombo.   

The eldest son of former State Minister of Defence Anuruddha Rratwatte, Mr. Lohan Ratwatte had taken to politics in 2009 as a member of the Central Provincial Council and in 2010 he was elected to parliament. He represented the Kandy District in parliament up to 2024.   

The late parliamentarian Lohan Ratwatte was an old pupil of Kandy Trinity College.
