Legend’s memory honoured: Maxi Rozairo tribute concert sold out

The Burgher Association said it hosts a special sell-out memorial concert, “A Tribute to Maxi,” this Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Dutch Burgher Union Hall in Colombo to honour its late Founder President and local music legend Maxi Rozairo.

Sri Lanka’s premier Western musicians have volunteered to perform alongside Rozairo’s former students and his grand-nephew, bridging generations of local musical talent.

Co-founded by Rozairo in 2001, the Burgher Association serves to unite Sri Lankans of Dutch, Portuguese, and European heritage. 

The event completely sold out before tickets could even be printed, reflecting the deep respect Rozairo commanded across his life.
