The Government of India has pledged to grant assistance of LKR 300 million for the supply of single cabs to the Sri Lankan Police.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed and exchanged yesterday between H.E. Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, and Ravi Seneviratne, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.

Under the terms of the project, at least 80 single cabs, along with spare parts and accessories, will be supplied to police stations across the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. This initiative aims to address critical needs within the Sri Lankan Police, enhancing their ability to maintain law and order while ensuring the safety of citizens.
