Government is not a redeemer says Right Wing Collective

The Government is not a redeemer which brings freedom to the people though some people think it is, was the message which came out of a seminar organized by Right Wing Collective in Colombo recently.   
The seminar was held under the theme ‘Is right wing an alternative to the present government’, and was attended by Lawyer Shiral Lakthilaka, Professor Mahesh Hapugoda, Charitha Herath and Deepthi Kumara Jayaratne.   
“Many have considered the government as a redeemer who brings freedom to people. However, it is not the case as most of the governments which ruled the country in the past have robbed the people,” Lakthilaka said.   
“Sri Lankans have inherited the attitude with regard to the government from Fabian Socialists,” he said.   
Leader of Samabima Deepthi Kumar Gunaratne said leftist have an unwritten law.
