Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam noticed by court

Leader of the Tamil National Peoples’ Front, Parliamentarian Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam who staged a protest with several others, raising black flags in front of Thaitti Tissa Vihara has been noticed to appear before Mallakam magistrate today (14) for violating a court order.   

Kankasanturai police had on February 11 obtained a court order preventing the protest led by Parliamentarian Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam that would result in breach of peace and order.   

Social media had warned on the possibility of an attack on the temple as well.   

However, a group of individuals including the parliamentarian on February 12 staged a protest and raised black flags in front of the temple against any construction work of the temple.
