Fortieth anniversary of STF

The fortieth anniversary of the Police Special Task Force (STF) was celebrated yesterday in Kataragama giving priority to religious activities.   

The ceremony included an all night Pirith chanting on Saturday (31) at Kataragama Kirivehera temple followed by Kapruk Pooja to commemorate the Ranaviru personnel.  

The ceremony was organized on the instructions of Commanding Officer of the STF Senior DIG Varuna Jayasundara and DIG D.D.K. Hettiarachchi and under the guidance of Chief Incumbent of Kirivehera Rajamaha Vihara Ven. Kobawaka Dhamminna Thera.  

Commanding officer in Galle Zone SSP H.U.Nishantha De Silva, Hambantota- Udawalawa Divisional Commanding Officer ASP Wevita Vidana and all STF personnel from Hambantota and Galle participated.
