Fire at Fisheries Harbour destroys trawlers

A fire which broke out in the Galle Fisheries Habour last morning had destroyed two multiday trawlers, and caused damage to other property. The Fire Fighting Unit and the police prevented the spread of the fire to other areas of the fisheries harbour. A senior official of the Fisheries Harbour said the damage caused to the Multi Day trawlers was yet to be estimated. Harbour police are conducting further investigations to establish the cause of the fire.
