Don’t withdraw judges’ security - Sajith

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa raised concerns in Parliament about the government’s decision to withdraw security from judges, urging instead for enhanced security due to the rising crime rate. Premadasa claimed that judges had been informed in writing about the removal of their security and called on the government to reconsider.   Public Security Minister Wijepala denied any plans to withdraw security from judges, stating that security for judges, journalists and MPs would be provided based on threat assessments.
