Assaulted Policeman interdicted

A Police constable attached to Gavaraduwa police who was admitted to hospital after being assaulted by a group of people at party in a hotel has been interdicted on suspicion of neglecting his duty and attending a party.  

He had been assaulted by several others attending the party.   

He was admitted to Elpitiya hospital.The medical officer who examined the suspect PC had reported that he had used drugs.   

The PC was interdicted with immediate effect on disciplinary grounds.
