All opposition parties to meet today to form a common struggle

Representatives of all opposition parties are to meet in Colombo today for a dialogue on forming a common programme, an MP who did not wish to be named said yesterday.   
He said today’s meeting would be the second round of the discussion. Former Minister Professor G. L. Peiris is said to be the convener of the exercise.   
It was reported that the parties met few days back for the first round of discussions and decided to meet today for another round.   
UNP Vice Chairman Navin Dissanayake who was responding to journalists at a briefing that his party also participated in the first round of discussions.Said “It is good if the opposition parties could work together and get onto one platform.   
“There is no issue working with Professor Peiris as he is a respected figure,” he added.
