8 Products 8 Themes Exhibition showcases Sri Lankan excellence in Beijing

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing successfully organised  an exhibition under the theme of “MADE IN SRI LANKA: 8 PRODUCTS 8 THEMES” which was held on 27th and 28th September, 2025 at the Embassy of Sri  Lanka.   

The “MADE IN SRI LANKA: 8 PRODUCTS 8 THEMES” Exhibition  facilitated promotion of Sri Lanka’s unique products, culture and  tourism experience in the Chinese market.   

Twenty-five Sri Lankan companies representing world-renowned Ceylon Tea, Ceylon Spices, Ceylon Sapphire, Wellness Products,  High-end Batiks, Handicrafts, Confectionery and Coconut-Based Products  participated in the exhibition.  

Tourism island experiences on the themes of Pristine,  Heritage, Scenic, Wild, Essence, Bliss, Festive and Thrills were  promoted at the exhibition.  

Special Features such as Ceylon Tea Tasting, Virtual  Reality Tour for Tourism 8 themes, Sri Lankan Delicacies, and Traditional  Costumes were also arranged and attracted many Chinese customers.   
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was graced by the Diplomatic corps and dignitaries representing Chambers and Government institutions. Value added products of Ceylon Tea and Ceylon  Cinnamon were launched at the opening ceremony. Ceylon Tea and Ceylon  Cinnamon cookies, Ceylon tea flavoured yoghurt, and bubble tea, Ceylon  Cinnamon flavoured Swiss rolls and Bagels displayed at the opening  ceremony.  

Made in Sri Lanka Exhibition attracted more than 10,000  online registered participants to the Embassy premises which is the  first ever kind of Exhibition held in the Embassy of Sri Lanka in  Beijing.   The companies were provided with opportunities to meet trade visitors through both online and offline platforms. Participating companies highly appreciated the opportunity and requested that this exhibition be organised on a regular basis.
